Recovery of Durban's GDP in Q4 2020
In Q4 2020, the City slowly regained momentum and partially recovered what was lost when the nation was initially thrust into strict lockdown. Initial economic modelling estimates by eThekwini Municipality give an indication of how the economy slowly recovered. While there are still GDP losses compared to 2019, there were sharply noticeable growth gains between Q3 and Q4 of 2020.
